Kara Kitty

Kara Kitty left us last Thursday (1/5/23) on her own, which was her normal independent style. She was a loved member of the Schmidt family since 2005.

She (Tortie), her sister Alleightre (black DSH), and another sister (unnamed/passed in the care of Aunt Crystal) were taken to the Aztec shelter before being properly weaned at 6 weeks. Shelter staff didn’t think they would survive; however, they went home with their “dad” and he raised them. She lived a long life as an indoor kitty, once being gone for a two week stint where we jokingly said she made a trip around the world. After she returned, she didn’t venture outside again.

Kara was preceded in death by her sister Alleightre and is survived by her parents J. and D. Schmidt, kitty sister Zoe, kitty brothers Grady and Tucker, and puppy sisters the Spice Girls Cinnamon Ginger Jasmine.

Rest in peace, Kitty, you are loved and missed.
